Kerry Mescallado

Kerry Mescallado is a lifelong bookworm who believes reading is as essential as breathing. Her passion for literacy is the driving force behind her work as Senior Editor at Reading Plus. Kerry has a master's degree in English. She taught Developmental Writing and Freshman Composition at Suffolk County Community College in New York. She joined Reading Plus in 2012 and works with a team of dedicated colleagues who are committed to delivering content that helps students learn about the world around them as they learn about themselves. She firmly believes that the ability to read confidently and comfortably is the key to student success. Kerry and her family live on Long Island, New York, with their dog and two cats.
